Will I be in control during the session?
Contrary to how hypnosis is often portrayed in movies or on television, and unlike stage hypnosis which is used for entertainment purposes; in authentic therapeutic hypnosis you simply feel calm and you are always safe and in control. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and you will only do what you would normally be willing to do.  Also, you generally remain aware, yet very relaxed.
Upon completion of the session, you will feel refreshed, relaxed and finally feel more IN CONTROL of your behavior or habit.
How do I get into the relaxed state of hypnosis?
With my many years of experience I am able to make a quick assessment and choose an induction or relaxation technique that is suitable for your personality type. I use a gentle, soothing tone and imagery that creates a sense of relaxation, security and well-being.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. ANYONE WHO HAS THE DESIRE and is willing to follow a few simple instructions CAN be hypnotized into a relaxed state.  Best subjects have average to high intelligence. Strong-willed people do well. Even if you are analytical, anxious or a highly stressed, you can be guided into the pleasant, relaxed state of hypnosis.
What if I don’t go very deep?
Depth has nothing to do with effectiveness. Many people seem to benefit more from a light to mid-range level of relaxation.
What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
It feels good! You simply feel wonderfully, peacefully relaxed. And you leave the session feeling calmer than before.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis works easily, safely and effectively. It is a natural, normal shifting of brain wave frequency from beta (your conscious, wide awake, highly active state of mind), into the relaxed levels of alpha, delta or theta (similar to the relaxed state you experience upon awakening in the morning, or a meditative state). In this state you are able to go within and receive answers and solutions to your greatest challenges and obstacles.  Also, in this state positive suggestions are easily accepted by the subconscious mind. These suggestions then carry over to your conscious (wide-awake) mind, allowing you to more easily make desired changes.
